AFP FAQ

SEC1: GENERAL PROGRAM

Q: Who is this program for?
A: Our program is designed for smart, capable people aged 25-65, who are fed up with alcohol's control over their lives. We welcome both men and women seeking a supportive and empowering path to lasting freedom from alcohol.

Q: Is this program for people who aren't sure they're alcoholics?
A:
Absolutely! There is no need to hit rock bottom before you stop drinking. This program is perfect if you know you need a long break from alcohol - but don't identify with the "alcoholic" label.

Q: Is this program for hard-core, long-term alcoholics?
A:
Maybe, maybe not. If you’re drinking hard, blacking out, getting arrested, and going in and out of rehab facilities, you & I will need to speak before signing up.
Book a call with me here.

SEC2: PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Q: What does the program look like in real time?
A:
You'll participate in twice-weekly, 90-minute online group coaching sessions for 12 weeks, led by a personal coach with extensive experience. Additionally, you can choose to
add personalized 1-on-1 coaching for extra accountability (1-on-1 coaching spaces are very limited).

Q: When & how are the group calls held?
A:
Calls are held 2x weekly, at an average of 90 minutes per call. Call #1 will be focused on a specific topic, and Call #2 will be a broader Q&A, designed for general accountability, support & sharing. Calls will be held online, on our own private, secure platform - and available for on-demand 24/7 viewing if you miss a call.

Q: How much does the program cost?
A: The minimum donation is $400.00 USD per month for admission into the AFP group calls. For those looking for extra accountability & individual support, one-on-one bespoke coaching (6 hours/month) is available, after we have
our introduction call. AFP individual coaching begins at $1997.00/month, and includes entry into the AFP group + all online group calls + resources.

Q: Is the program confidential?
A: We prioritize your privacy as much as technology allows us in 2025. You are free to use a pseudonym and disable your camera during online sessions if you prefer. You’ll find specific information re: privacy during your onboarding.

Q: Why the veteran community?
A:
It felt important to make this life-changing process available to as many people as possible at a low cost. That said, we were also focused on seeing where we could do the most good - for our fellow man, and our country.

Vets always get the short end of the stick. AFP is my way of balancing things out with the men and women who have given us so much.

SEC3: APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

Q: What is your core AFP philosophy?
A: We believe in your power to overcome your drinking habit. Our program focuses on education, mental reframing, and helping our students develop a sustainable lifestyle, free from the chains of alcohol.

We'll also explore dietary changes, supplementation, and techniques including mindfulness, EFT & EDMR to address cravings and triggers.

Q: What if I'm not ready to quit right away?
A: We understand the idea of “zero drinks” can be daunting. Our program allows you to taper down over a two week period at a manageable pace. This re-establishes a sense of control and self-esteem. You can totally quit drinking if you choose to make a resolute decision to be done & stick to it.

Q: What are some of the biggest challenges your clients face?
A: Clients often mentioned mood swings, lifestyle adjustments, and navigating changing relationships during their previous attempts at quitting. The AFP equips you with multiple tools to manage these challenges effectively with preemptive game plans & implementation strategy.

We’ve made this process as simple and painless as it can be, on every level.

SEC4: 12 STEP RECOVERY?

Q: Do we have a problem with AA or 12-step recovery?
A:
No. We appreciate AA’s role in the lives of millions of recovering men & women. However, tens of millions more fall through the cracks, failing to resonate with the idea of a “lifetime membership” to Alcoholics Anonymous.

AA is now 90 years old. In those 90 years, we have learned a great deal of new information about the mind, body and nature of addiction itself. If AA’s goal is to help cure alcoholics, ask yourself why AA has never been modified or updated so that the process not need decades to complete.

Simply put, we feel that addicts deserve better than AA in 2025.

Q: How does AFP differ from a 12-step recovery program?
A:
We view AFP as an alternative to 12-step. There are bits of “The Program” that we do find helpful - however, we have several points in direct opposition to Alcoholics Anonymous.

1) NO LIFETIME OF MEETINGS
2) NO SELF-IDENTIFYING AS A FOREVER ALCOHOLIC
3) NO MORE IGNORING DIET, SUPPLEMENTS & LIFESTYLE
4) NO QUITTING COLD TURKEY

Q: Can I work The Alcohol Freedom Process & AA at the same time?
A:
Absolutely. The Alcohol Freedom Process is not designed to replace a 12-step program. Simply put, we will teach you what the other programs don’t. We will complete your recovery process in ways that won’t have you relying on meetings for the rest of your life.

Q: Why does AA fall short?
A: The Rockefeller Foundation’s early support of AA ended up being a clandestine take-over, eliminating any potential education around nutrition, supplementation or trauma resolution.

In our opinion, keeping the program the same as it was 90 years ago is problematic. 90 years ago, “doctors” were using remedies like leeches, frontal lobotomies and shock treatments to cure the ill.

To be clear -this is 2025, not 1925. Nothing about the reality is the same; the world is now digital, intense and toxic, on all levels. The 12 Steps are considered “The Gold Standard” in recovery - why hasn’t professional recovery (AA, 12-step coaches, rehab facilities) changed to reflect everything we’ve learned in the last 90 years?

ADDICTION & RECOVERY IS A $50 BILLION/YEAR INDUSTRY

By keeping the AA method incomplete and outdated, 80% of people in The 12 Steps relapse within a year. Relapse is good for AA, keeps the chairs full and the dollars in the donation basket. It’s good for the justice system, too - attorneys & judges get wealthy from addicts relapsing.

Finally, consider this - there are 17,000+ rehab facilities in The United States. They charge insurance companies anywhere from $3,000 - $30,000+ per month. Do you really want to “cure” that addict (ie, revenue stream), or do you want return customers?

AFP’s mission is simple. We want our student to be truly free from alcohol. No more endless meetings, sponsors, steps and bad coffee. No more calling yourself an “alcoholic” for the rest of your life. Just freedom from the desire to drink and destroy ourselves.

SEC5: STUDENT FEEDBACK

Q: What do AFP students say after going through the process?

A: We often hear feedback like…
"This was far easier than I imagined"
"This program helped me regain control"
"You taught me how to be self-aware of my own drinking"
“As it turns out, it was the old stuff from my past making me want to drink”
